Stories from FAME Mission
In 1990, a 50-year-old pastor from N. Ireland made a brief visit to west Africa to deliver supplies for some missionaries serving there.
Little did he realize that short trip would be the beginning of a mission work raised up and blessed by God to touch thousands of lives on the opposite side of the African continent.
Six years after that initial trip, Friends of Africa Missionary Endeavor began in Kenya with a small clinic to serve medical needs in the local rural community.
Twenty years later, the mission has expanded to include additional clinic facilities in the region, a rescue and specialized care center for abandoned infants, a children’s home that ministers to the daily needs of nearly 200 children, and opportunities for aid and Gospel outreach continue to present themselves on a daily basis.
Such blessing must be accompanied with stories of hardship and healing, of sorrow and salvation, and this is our attempt to tell some of these stories.
